Sofar Ocean

This paper was written by W. Fujimoto, R. Miratsu, K. Ishibashi, and T. Zhu.

Abstract

This paper examines the use of wave data in ship monitoring,  defined as a general term in a sense that also includes digital twins for ship structure (DTSSs). First, a brief explanation of the observation devices and analysis techniques that are generally in wide use is presented, followed by a discussion of their applicability to ship monitoring, while also presenting a review of the features of the main types of wave information.
