Sofar Featured on KATU 2 News (Portland, Oregon)

The University of Washington is working with the Navy's Scientific Development squadron to better understand hurricanes.

Jake Davis, a student at UW's Applied Physics Laboratory went to Florida this week to deploy wave-monitoring systems in the path of Hurricane Ian.

The wave buoys used for the monitoring were developed by Sofar Ocean Technologies and Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
