On October 21, 2020, the Navy Hydrography Center and Petrobras prepared the first deployment of Spotter buoys in the Pre-Salt region near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This initiative aimed at establishing a long-term data collection network and validating the buoy's operational efficiency. Equipped with innovative components and offering cost savings compared to the existing technology, the deployment marks a milestone for ocean monitoring for the Navy Hydrography Center and Petrobras.
